재단 소개
타우마제인은 시대의 흐름과 조화되는 ‘삶의 철학’의 정립과 확산을 위해 설립된 비영리 재단법인입니다.
오늘날 인류는 디지털 혁명과 인공지능의 등장으로 문명사적 대전환의 시대를 살아가고 있습니다. 기술은 인간과 기계의 경계를 새롭게 정의하고 있으며, 초연결 사회는 세계를 하나의 공동체로 연결하고 있습니다. 더 나아가 현실과 가상이 공존하는 새로운 환경은 인간의 삶과 문명의 모습을 근본적으로 바꾸고 있습니다.
그러나 이와 함께 인간 소외, 생태 위기, 가치의 혼란, 공동체의 해체와 같은 문제 또한 심화되고 있습니다. 지금 우리에게 필요한 것은 인간은 누구이며 어떻게 살아야 하는가를 함께 성찰하는 지혜입니다. 인간의 조건과 존재 의미는 무엇이며, 바람직한 인간상과 우리가 추구하는 미래의 문명은 어떤 것인지 그 의미를 다시 묻지 않을 수 없습니다.
급변하는 시대일수록 철학은 현실과 동떨어진 학문이 아니라 삶의 방향을 제시하는 나침반이 되어야 합니다. 인문학은 시대를 읽고, 철학은 시대를 해석하며, 삶의 철학은 우리의 일상을 변화시키는 실천이 되어야 합니다.

About the Foundation
Cultivating the Humanities Spirit and Philosophical Culture
Thaumazein is a nonprofit foundation established to contribute to the maturation of our society and the creation of a new civilization through the popularization of the humanities and philosophy and the spread of reflective thought.
Today, humanity stands at an unprecedented civilizational turning point amid the sweeping currents of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and artificial intelligence. Rapid technological advancement has blurred the boundary between human and machine, and a hyperconnected society has bound the world into a single global village, making interdependence and convergence part of everyday life. Furthermore, the age of the metaverse—where present and future, virtual and real, coexist—vividly reflects this great civilizational transformation.
Yet behind this brilliant civilization lie structural problems and risks that loom just as large, like a shadow cast in proportion to the light. We now stand before fundamental questions: what is the human condition, what is the meaning of existence, and what kind of future should we strive toward? The faster the times change, the more urgent the need for a “public square of collective intelligence”—a space to look beyond fragmented information, reflect on humanity’s shared values, and together open a new horizon for humankind and the world.
Thaumazein aims to become just such a square.

타우마제인의 로고는 세계의 존재 자체에 눈뜨는 ‘감탄’의 순간이자, 동시에 본질을 향해 던지는 깊은 ‘물음’의 서막을 시각화했습니다.
경이로운 삶에 대한 경외감(감탄)과 이를 통해 촉발되는 사유의 여정(물음)이 분리되지 않고 하나의 원형적 흐름으로 연결되어 있음을 상징합니다. 익숙한 일상에 균열을 내고 새로운 시선을 제안하는 재단의 정체성을 담고 있습니다.
About BI (Brand Identity)
A Place That Is Both Wonder and Question
Thaumazein’s logo visualizes both the moment of “wonder” — awakening to the very existence of the world — and, simultaneously, the prelude to a deep “question” cast toward its essence.
It symbolizes how awe at the marvel of life (wonder) and the journey of reflection it sets in motion (question) are not separate, but joined in a single circular flow. It carries the foundation’s identity: one that cracks open the familiar and offers a new way of seeing.
